Yes, cancellations made more than 14 days before the class start date receive a full refund. Cancellations between 14 days and 5 days out receive a credit toward a future Make Ready course instead of a refund. Within 5 days of the class, and for no-shows, no refund or credit is issued. Group classes are held in the Coeur d'Alene area, with live fire sessions at Fernan Rod and Gun Club, 11600 Fernan Lake Road in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Each listing on the class schedule page shows the exact location for that session. Students regularly travel in from Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Sandpoint, and the Spokane area.
If you are brand new, start with Pistol 101 for handguns or Carbine 101 for AR-15 style rifles. Both are classroom safety and handling courses with no live fire. If you already own the gun and want real fundamentals with live fire, start with Pistol Essentials or Carbine Essentials. Once you shoot competently, move up to Next Level Pistol or Next Level Carbine, and then Real World Scenarios.
Students must be at least 18 years old, unless they are accompanied by a parent or another responsible adult. Some advanced and tactical courses carry a higher minimum age, which is stated in that class description.

Yes. The 101 and Essentials classes are built for new shooters and people with little formal training. Pistol 101 and Carbine 101 are classroom based with no live fire, and Pistol Essentials and Carbine Essentials are beginner courses that do include live fire. Higher level classes assume you can already handle your firearm safely on your own.
Bring your firearm in good working condition, ammunition in your caliber, a holster and gun belt, magazines, eye and ear protection, sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and food and water. Train with the equipment you actually use, since the point is improving with your own gear rather than borrowed gear.
Your registration covers the instruction and the range fees for that session. You are required to bring everything you would normally bring to train at the range, including your firearm, ammunition, holster, magazines, eye and ear protection, food, water, and any comfort items you need for the day.
